In September, Feigley Communications won the top awards at the Southern Public Relations Federation Conference held in Huntsville, Ala., this year. The agency received the overall Best of Show Lantern Award – SPRF’s most coveted prize – for its work developing, executing and launching the Vax Matters podcast for the Louisiana Office of Public Health Immunization Program. The work bested 88 other submissions to receive recognition as the best PR campaign in 2022 in the Southern region.

Feigley developed the podcast to raise public awareness and knowledge of vaccine research and safety, as well as correcting misinformation. The series covered a wide range of topics, including special health segments on current disease outbreaks and common health conditions. Since its launch in early 2022, the podcast has garnered over 11,343 total downloads and views across all podcast platforms and YouTube.

The SPRF is a network of communications professionals from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and north Florida, who share a common interest in the PR profession. The SPRF conference annually recognizes PR excellence both individually and collectively.
