Baton Rouge was set to host its very first NAVY Week, a series of promotional and community outreach events designed to showcase its history, traditions and leadership. The NAVY required assistance in planning, coordinating and executing the massive undertaking of producing the events, engaging the public and garnering media coverage.


Feigley Communications was brought on for its expertise in reaching the Baton Rouge community. The FC team assisted in identifying community leaders and organizations with whom to partner and develop a week of opportunities for the Baton Rouge area to engage and interact with the U.S. Navy sailors and its assets. The week included media opportunities, school visits, speaking engagements, civic and corporate meetings, community relations, and band and drill team performances.


With the support of FC, Navy Week held 80 events, received more than 2 million impressions comprised of in-person, online, print, broadcast and social media engagements. FC secured in-studio, live remotes and recorded segments on WAFB, WBRZ, BR Proud. It additionally received coverage in the Advocate, and on Talk 107.3.
